Farewell 2010

Bidding farewell to this Gregorian year of 2010.

All of it's joy and pain are lessons and foundations for stepping into the coming year.

Stepping in to the new with greater clarity, hope, and trust.

Trust in the process of life unfolding, continually.

I am thankful for the ability to be here in this moment. I survived! ;-)

The journey continues. Thank you!

Reiki Blessings!

Solstice Eclipse

Heather Salmon shared this information via Facebook and I am forwarding to everyone I know as well.

According to Nasa and this website the Solstice Eclipse begins on Monday, December 20th, 2010 at 10:33pm PST and ends around 2:00am on Tuesday, December 21st! Because it's a full moon and will be waning through January 4th when the accompanying New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse closes the portal ...this will be a powerful time for healing, releasing and resetting!

The Present, The Future

I awakened this morning & the reality hit me that I AM the Mother of four boys.

Four boys that Life has blessed me with & I AM thankful.

My next thought was what an awesome responsibility I have to nurture these boys to be kind, compassionate & good men.

May I be so blessed to do a good job of being their mother. May they grow to be balanced, strong & loving Good Men. May it be so!

The Five Bows

The Five Bows

I bow to all generations of ancestors in my blood family.
I bow to all generations of ancestors in my spiritual family.
I bow to all ancestors of this land who made it possible.
In gratitude, I bow down and transmit my energy to those I love.
In compassion and understanding, I bow down to reconcile myself
with those who have made me suffer.

May it be so....

Quote for Today

Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.

Dawn

http://www.watblog.com/2009/12/31/a-lookback-on-the-dawn-of-the-digital-decade-and-some-wishes-that-came-true/

The crows speak and the chorus answers.
The sunrises and shadows are cast.
The breeze blows and souls are touched.
A new dawn, a new day to start again.

Holy Occupation

Motherhood: Holy Occupation

This is for all the "Mothers" out there....both in flesh and in spirit. A woman does not need to give birth to be a mother....she merely has within her heart the heart and love of the Great Divine....and she allows that light to shine upon those whose paths she crosses in her journey...... For You!

This morning I awaken with thoughts of my children on my mind. Perhaps the thoughts were there so deeply this morning because of the new one growing in leaps and bounds yet in my womb. I am reminded every moment of everyday these past 8 months of the gift and opportunity and not to mention holy occupation that I have been given and called to be and live.

I am a Mother.

I am a representation of the divine feminine in its most basic attribute.  That which brings forth life. That which maintains and nourishes life. She who gives wings to another in order for that one to fly off and take its place in Life.

For years I told people that I was an artist first and foremost who happens to be a mother.  Then there were certain events that took place in life that challenged me to really step up to the plate and choose what was important, what I needed to do for my child(ren).

Without hesitation the inner fierce protective lioness came out.  It was in that moment that I understood that I am first and foremost a Mother.  I realised that it was a Divine gift and calling that I could no more neglect or qualify as the need to breathe or blood properly flow through my body.

I realised that it was my purpose (beyond duty or obligation) to set aside my self for the needs of the souls that were bestowed to my care.

Teaching my children lovingkindness, compassion, hope, gratitude and the attitude to trust and believe in themselves and to love themselves and those who are considered to be "other" is what my purpose is.

To represent compassion. To be there for them when they need me...even when it is not convenient for me is only part of the mission.

To show them unconditional love, assist them in their growth in becoming who they are...is still part of it.

Motherhood is a holy occupation that knows no limitations and knows know end. She is Love personified, Mother.

Yes, such deep thoughts, emotions, feelings so early in the morning. I can only thank my yet to be born child for kicking me through out the day thereby reminding me who I am.

My eldest two are teenagers...teens who are very independent but at the same time will come to me at least once or twice a month and curl up in my arms lying their head on my breast and telling me how much they love me.  Yes, even they still need me.

My current youngest is eleven. He is independent in his own right but there are even more times when he expresses the desire to be in my arms and to be held by me and exchange the love breath with me.  On the outside he is a big boy, solid like an oak tree...on the inside he is the Gift of Life given to me to nourish and support to manhood--and possibly beyond.

It is a mother's Love, unconditional love expressed, that helps a person to fully realise who s/he is and what s/he is capable of accomplishing.

Motherhood is the best way for me to mature and become the best that I AM meant to be as well.

Thank You Spirit for this opportunity to serve.

Full moon - poem

Mama Luna, you are beautiful and full.

Thank you for your milky white....

Your satiny silver and gray....

You make my face glow

with love
with glee

You are beautiful and full

and remind me most of the beauty within....

While on your journey

from the book CHAKRAS FOR STARTERS by Savitri Simpson

Remember, too, that it is important not to assess the value of your meditations or measure your spiritual progress b whether or not you experience phenomena, such as colours or sounds that may or may not come to you.  Parmahansa Yogananda said: "The path to God is not a circus."  Rather, observe how you are changing as a person in daily life.  As one great saint put it: "Your religion is tested best in the cold light of day."

Divinity

Sharing with you my mini spiritual autobiography that I wrote in order to receive ordination. This was written in August 2007.

Enjoy!

***********************************

What does The Creative Force, God or Higher Power means to me.
My connection to the Divine Consciousness/Supernal Source of Life was something I felt from a very early age. I was not raised in a religious home however my mother was very spiritual in her outlook on life. She believed that we must always be thankful for what we have and to try and do what is good and what is right. She is naturally intuitive and exhibited great many psychic God given gifts of which my brother and I both inherited. My mother is a beautiful example of unconditional LOVE.

God is Love.

Throughout the years I have studied many religions including Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Vaishnavism,
and Judaism.

I am, through descent as well as through formal acknowledgment, apart of the
Jewish people and the Jewish faith. However, my attachment to Judaism, it's people and principles is not one of a pure and solely dogmatic nature. Through my life's experiences of both religious and spiritual in nature I have determined that God is far more infinite and far more inclusive that any religion teaches.

I have come to the knowledge that God, our "Creator",HaShem, Shekhinah our Source
of Light and Life or the Collective Consciousness as some prefer, is far more infinite, far more everything that we could ever imagine. God our Mother/Father our Ultimate Source is pure Love and pure Light.

God is a verb, Life Becoming, Life that is, that will be and that always was.

God is the Creative Principle, air, light, dark, God is everything and we are part and parcel of God.

Within each and everyone of us resides our own portion of the Spark of Divinity and we are not separate from it.

God or, as some understand, AIN SOF is complete, perfect and Absolute and container of all LIFE and is all life.

As sparks of Divinity, as I believe, it is our mission to exhibit unconditional Love, Light and healing to all.(Yes, not always easy for ourselves or others)

Restoring physio/spiritual healing to all of Creation. Love life as God loves life, as God Is, was and will be.
And this is my life's mission as a healing minister.

This is what I believe that God's messenger, the radiant Swan, came to deliver to me
when I was 4 years old. Thankfully it has only taken me 32 years to come into an understanding of my mission.

Be Blessed Love & Light,
*(c)2007

Listening to our heart

Listening to our heart
finding out who we are, is not simple.
It takes time for the chatter to calm down.

In the silence of "not doing"
we begin to know what we feel.

If we listen and hear what is being offered,
then anything in our life can be a guide.

Listen.

SMILE

SMILE.... :-) Yeah-that's right....work those muscles...a smile, so simple...but feels so good! Makes everybody feel good.

A Human Being Is

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us "universe", a part limited in time and space.  He experiences himself, has thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest...a kind of optical delusion of consciousness.

Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty"

 Albert Einstein

I can not agree with Albert Einstein more. From the essence of my being, as a small child of four I knew this to be true.  Sometimes our experience in this life in our society we can be molded to embrace the delusion of separateness but then we remember or we are told (led to the memory) and from there we can set about our mission.  To be compassion and loving and trust that LIFE will work out and hold us dear. Everything that happens to us is part of our process....

My thoughts...

Reiki - Healing Tool

(Bringing you interesting and informative articles on the net)

Teresa Parrott, formerly trained as a doctor and psychiatrist, is a Reiki Master in the Usui-Tibetan System, gives a very clear explanation of what Reiki is, its uses, the training and the applications of self-treatment.

Reiki, an intelligent, non-directed energy, can be used for physical and emotional healing and for relaxation. It is personal to each individual and helps to uncover one's inner knowing and insight. It is the higher self/consciousness of an individual that draws the needed amount of energy and channels it to where it is needed. Not only can it be people, it can be given to animals, plants, food and water, and can be used in distant healing and sent to the past, present or future. It facilitates the body's natural capacity to cleanse, detoxify and heal itself.

Receiving Reiki From Others

Many of us, especially women, are so used to being care takers. Caring for everyone else first and forgetting or just neglecting to care for ourselves.

This is just a reminder that you are never too busy to take time out for yourself. That time out could be 15 minutes, 30 minutes or even an hour and hey if you are super lucky a full day!

The important thing is to take time out to pamper yourself.

Soak your feet in hot water, epson salt and lavender/peppermint essential oils. Fifteen minutes of this will rejuvenate you surely.

As Reiki practitioners in service to others around us it is imperative that we make sure we also receive.  Self-reiki practice is extremely beneficial but there is nothing like lying back and receiving from someone else.

Receiving a hands on reiki treatment at least once every two weeks or once a month will keep you centered.

Today my friend Lelayna is coming over to give me a much needed reiki treatment and I am so excited.

Thanks to Alice for reminding me to find someone close by to give me a treatment.

So paying it forward, so to speak, do not forget to exchange with a friend or seek out a practitioner to give you a little reiki tlc.

Love Is

Love is a verb.

It manifest as action born from an intricate mixture of emotion and choice.

Love is a choice. A choice that involves a mixture of head and heart.

Love is a muscle that will atrophy if not flexed and nourished.

The heart a most brilliant organ. Love a most complex gift.

Thank you for the love that is given, that is received, that flows in me, through me and manifests in each breath.

Revisiting The First Gate

Today was a wonderful full day. I returned home today from work, errands and appointments to reading a wonderful and inspiring comment from one of the readers of this blog.

I was so inspired that I felt I should re-post the comment from the blog post that was made a little over a year ago because I felt that perhaps you would be just inspired as I am since reading it.

The post title from April 9, 2009

Self-Reiki the First Gate

The most recent comment made over a year later--and I hope you enjoy it as well:

Anonymous said...
After my awakening, I began to do self-Reiki every 2nd day as a method of attuning myself to the loving vibrations of my higher-essence and spirit guides. During each session, I remind every cell in my body that it is loved beyond words and that we are all part of the One. Using a unique method of focus, I have been able to IMMEDIATELY heal mental and emotional blocks as well as minor injuries to my physical body. I am still amazed by the results.

Since I began over 2 years ago, I have not become ill for any reason. By obtaining a greater understanding of the nature of my reality, I realized that everything is of my own creation. Now let us move forward in love.
Anonymous, thank you very much for taking time to share your comment, share your heart, and share what you have learned in the journey of your soul on this plane.

Full Moon May

Yes, it has been quite some time since my last post, more than several months have past however I am back!

I will not bore you with all the details but suffice it to say sometimes one's Life may go up in flames so that she rises out of the ashes restored and even more brilliant just as the Phoenix rises to soar again to even greater heights.

How à propos that today is the day I return to posting as many of you may be aware that it is one of my favorite days of the month next to the New Moon, today is the month of May's full moon.
2nd full moon of May 2007 known as a blue moon.

May's full moon is also known as the flower moon, corn planting moon or milk moon. I personally like the name Flower Moon because its the time of year that all the lovely flowers are really coming into their own.

May favorite flower, or at least one of many, is the Asiatic Lily.
The above lily photo borrowed from this website. Mine have yet to bloom but I assure you that once they do I will definitely post photos.

Anyway, I am glad to be back. I am glad to have risen from the ashes. So many new ventures happening in my life. So much growth, love and positivity. Of course there were a lot of tears but I truly believe that one can only really enjoy the joy in their life only when they have experienced sorrow. One appreciates the sunrise only when they have also been through darkness.

Part of my time off was to concentrate on school. Yes, I have finally pursued a long time dream of mine which was to attend Massage Therapy School. And I did it!! Yeah for me!

And the last piece of good news I will share is that I am expecting my forth child. I can hardly believe my eyes when I read what I have read. Yes, my forth child. This little blessing will arrive in just a couple of months.

*sigh...onward, outward, inward and upward. So much love to share and so much love to receive.

May you all be so blessed to understand just how much you have to be thankful for.

Stay tuned....
